Y Combinator's PAC is throwing money at Republicans across the country

Y Combinator Management LLC’s political committee, branded the Little Tech PAC and registered Dec. 15, 2025, has raised about $200,000 from roughly 40 contributions largely coming from YC employees, executives, and their partners. Top YC names among donors include co-founders Paul Graham and Jessica Livingston, CEO Garry Tan and public policy head Travis Lowe; many donors gave the $5,000 annual maximum in both 2025 and 2026. The PAC has spent $117,647 to support 66 federal candidate PACs, nearly half backing Republicans, with donations concentrated in California, DC, Texas and Virginia and overwhelmingly directed to incumbents. Verene Prescher is listed as the PAC’s designated agent and Justin Phillips of Aristotle serves as treasurer.

Donations target a mix of lawmakers who influence AI and tech policy, from progressive figures such as Reps. Lateefah Simon and Pramila Jayapal to conservatives like Senators Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley and members such as Reps. Dan Sullivan, Rob Wittman and Mike Rogers. Smaller gifts went to tech- and defense-oriented Democrats including Reps. Valerie Foushee and Adam Smith. The giving pattern aligns with Garry Tan’s “little tech” advocacy - favoring startup-friendly policies over concentrated Big Tech power - yet the PAC provides no public rationale for its candidate mix. Y Combinator did not respond to requests for comment.
