ZuckOff is a free smartphone app that detects nearby Meta smart glasses by scanning Bluetooth broadcasts and matching them to digital fingerprints compiled by its developer, Pawel Szydlowski. By buying and recording signals from different models, the app recognizes manufacturer identifiers tied to devices such as Ray‑Ban Meta, Oakley Meta and Snap Spectacles. Downloads surged on both iOS and Android after launch. The basic scanner on iPhone is free; a paid ZuckOff Pro adds continuous background monitoring, widgets, alerts, sighting history and CSV export. The app reports signal strength to give a rough sense of proximity but does not intercept any data, identify the wearer, or determine whether a glasses camera is actively recording.
