Bunny CDN Load Balancer (Public Preview) is a routing feature that distributes HTTP(S) requests from Pull Zones across configurable origin pools according to defined priorities, weights, latency, and health. You group origins by region, provider, capacity, or purpose and assign priority tiers so primary capacity can share normal traffic while standby groups sit behind them for failover. The pool can combine standard HTTP(S) servers, Bunny Storage, Edge Scripting, and Magic Containers. For each origin-bound request the edge builds an ordered list of eligible destinations and follows that order during normal routing and failover, with latency-based balancing that also factors in in-flight requests to avoid overloading the fastest origin.

Failover respects safety and locality: retries only replay requests safe to repeat (avoiding blind retries for requests with bodies or non-idempotent methods), there’s a time limit on the failover chain, and each edge uses both global health checks and its own live-traffic observations so regional reachability differences are handled. Optional features include sticky sessions via an encrypted edge cookie and the option to try unhealthy origins as a last resort. Pricing is $9.50/month per Load Balancer including 50 million origin-bound requests, plus $0.65 per additional million; cached responses aren’t counted and a single Load Balancer can be shared across Pull Zones.
